Highlights: Paolo Banchero leads O’Dea to Washington 3A boys basketball state championship

Paolo Banchero and O’Dea were not going to be denied.

The No. 11 seed, O’Dea rolled through the 3A boys basketball bracket, beating teams by wide margins, capped off by a 70-39 victory over No. 2 Mt. Spokane in the WIAA 3A state championship game Saturday night at the Tacoma Dome.

Banchero led O’Dea with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Noah Williams added 19 points and 6 rebounds.

Tyson Degenhart had 14 points and 8 rebounds for Mt. Spokane, and JT Smith added 12 points.
