Here are the candidates for the Washington Federal high school athlete of the week for May 6-12, as nominated by fans, readers and Scorebook Live’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Thursday at 5 p.m and the winner will be announced Friday morning. Annalisa McKinney, Chiawana softball: McKinney, a senior pitcher/1B/3B, had nine hits (including two home runs) and six RBI over a four-game stretch. She also struck out 21 batters over 12 innings.

Nick Mardesich, Everett baseball: Mardesich threw a seven-hit shutout on Saturday, May 11 to lift Everett to a 6-0 win over Shorewood  in the 3A District 1 Tournament championship game.

Tyler Forner, Camas baseball: Forner, a senior outfielder, went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and four RBI — including a momentous three-run homer — to lead Camas to a 10-6 victory over Puyallup in the West Central III/Southwest 4A bidistrict title game on Saturday.

Jadon Bowton, Ferris soccer: Bowton tallied a clean sheet in regulation, then made two huge saves in a penalty kicks shootout to lift Ferris to a 1-0 win over Pasco in the District 8 4A championship game on Saturday.

Spencer Barrera, Mt. Spokane track & field: Barrera dominated the Greater Spokane League district meet on Friday, winning four events. He captured the 200m (22.23 seconds), the 400m (50.74), the long jump (22 feet, 6 inches) and the triple jump (40-1) for the Wildcats.

Aisha Watt, Seattle Prep track & field: Watt, a senior, won the 100m (12.07), 200m (24.85) and anchored the winning 4x100m relay (49.43) at the Metro League championships on Friday.
