The Washington high school boys soccer season wrapped up on Saturday with four state championship games. Here’s a roundup and photos from all four title games:
1A: Vashon 3, Winlock/Toledo 1
Tommy Delargy scored twice and assisted on a third goal to lift Vashon to a 3-1 victory over Winlock/Toledo in the 1A boys soccer championship at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner. It’s Vashon’s first boys soccer state title.
Delargy scored his first goal in the 22nd minute and added an assist later in the first half to give Vashon Island (18-2-2) a 2-0 halftime lead. Delargy scored his second goal in the 73rd minute to put the game away.
Andres Malunat scored the lone goal for Winlock/Toledo (16-1-3) in stoppage time.
2A: Sehome 1, Columbia River 0
Julius Ellison headed home a goal in the 33rd minute and Sehome held on to beat Columbia River 1-0 in the 2A boys soccer state championship Saturday at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner.
It was the third state championship for Sehome (19-1-3), who had to survive a barrage of shots from Columbia River over the final 30 minutes. Columbia River (21-1-1) had a 45-game unbeaten streak snapped.
3A: Lakeside 2, Bellevue 0
Justin Blachman scored in the 19th minute and added an assist in the 30th minute to lift Lakeside to a 2-0 victory over Bellevue in the 3A boys soccer state championship Saturday at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup.
4A: Puyallup 2, Mount Si 1
Logan Oyama scored the game-winning goal on a free kick in the 77th minute to lift Puyallup to a 2-1 win over Mount Si in the 4A boys soccer state championship game Saturday at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup.
